Moylan Discusses Closed-Door Meeting with Trump, House Republicans

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Former President Donald Trump had a closed-door meeting with House and Senate Republicans. Guam’s congressional Delegate Jim Moylan (R- GUAM) told Guam News Now the former President spoke to Republicans about campaign messaging and policy if he was to win back the White House.

The meeting was at an off-site location near the US Capitol. It lasted about an hour and then later on in the day Trump also met with Republican Senators. Members said Trump told them that he has their backs and want to win back the White House and both chambers in congress. Moylan described the meeting with Trump as positive and added that he discussed issues like border policy and inflation.

“He [Trump] gave us good statements on how the Republican party is going to take the lead in the House and the Senate and the Presidency as well,” said Congressman Moylan. “Leadership was there. He was able to answer a few questions but overall very positive atmosphere and I’m glad it was well attended and I was happy to be here.”

This was Trump’s first time on Capitol Hill since the January 6 US Capitol attack and his guilty convictions in his hush money case in New York. Trump still faces other court cases.
