Tropical Cyclone causing strong winds in the Marianas today. Gusts of up to 55 mph possible through Tuesday morning as the low drifts north. Heavy rains with several inches possible, causing flooding in low lying areas and along rivers and streams. In addition, waves of 9-12 feet expected through Tuesday before the swells subside by Tuesday evening. Expect potential power outages with the winds, and shore erosion with the high waves into tomorrow. The weather gradually improves by midweek.
